Buck for a Buck is a campaign of Sarvodaya USA.
To complete this important final stage of work, Sarvodaya USA has launched an international fundraising campaign with the support of Jyotidaya and Ullens School students in Kathmandu. About 300 students from these two schools in Nepal are collecting Rupee 1 a day to help us complete construction of Jyotidaya Cooperative School.

On December 23, 2011 students from grades 5 to 10 at both schools came together at Ullens School to build and decorate their piggy banks. Prior to the December 23, students were encouraged to find recycled material such as old boxes and bottles that they can use to create their own piggy banks.
The students then took their decorated piggy banks home and have begun to save a minimum of Rs. 1 a day until March 31, 2012.
Sarvoday’s goal is to find 300 individuals who will commit to match the students’ savings in USD and thus raise about $30,000.
